BLOG POST #79: This week I’m sharing some of my research on a real SICKO.  Proceed with caution!

His history of inappropriate conduct with students dated back to 1983. The principal received a parent complaint about a male teacher who dropped his pants on a museum field trip. The teacher claimed his pants were too baggy.

In the early 1990s, several 4th-grade girls went to the principal and complained their teacher masturbated in the classroom. The principal dismissed their claims as lies.

Also in the early 1900s, a new teacher observing in the teacher’s classroom went to the principal and complained he wore loose fitting shorts and sat in such a way to expose his genitals. The principal said she wasn’t surprised as others had complained as well. Years later in the courtroom, the same principal said the complaint never happened, essentially calling the teacher who’d reported the behavior a liar.

You get the idea… The sexual predator’s behavior escalates as the year’s tick by.  Jump to the early 2010s, the teacher is still teaching at the same school. In fact, he’d been there 32 years! A law abiding employee processing photographs reported inappropriate photos of children in a classroom to the local authorities.

Finally, the teacher was charged with 23 counts of committing lewd acts on children. It was learned, in his classroom, he conducted ‘tasting games. He blindfolded young children and then spoon-fed them with samples of his semen. Of course the children didn’t know what he was feeding them. He’d also fed them cookies frosted with his semen. And he placed large live Madagascar-type cockroaches on their faces and mouths. Investigators found more than 300 photos of his classroom ‘games.’

You may wonder why the children didn’t tell their parents he was doing these horrific things to them. Many of the parents were illegal immigrants. The children feared their parents would be deported.

As a result of this case, the large school district revamped their complaint procedures in hopes to prevent any mistreatment of children from ever happening again.

At the time of his sentencing, the school district had paid close to $30 million to the families of his victims. More damages were still to be determined.

The former elementary teacher, in his 60s, pleaded no contest to all 23 counts. He was sentenced to 25-years in prison.

The Superior Court Judge said, “The 25-year sentence reached in a plea deal likely means (the defendant) will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
